The challenge was raised to move diners to Omoide Yokochō Street. A narrow street in Tokyo packed of traditional taverns that focus on it, offering a picturesque picture full of elements with different characters that intertwine to weave its image.
As in Omoide Yokochō, the premises to be renovated have a narrow and longitudinal floor plan, so the parallelism between them is evident. An abstraction exercise is carried out of the main elements that They appear on the original street, individually analyzing their importance in the composition of the space. This exercise, It mainly consists of recomposing these elements on the Rambla Méndez Nuñez in Alicante faithfully and getting the most out of it. to the space so that the restaurant can accommodate the maximum number of diners.
The circulation of the premises is articulated through a central corridor that is different from the rest of the pavements. through a cobblestone texture, typical of an urban space.
The street effect sought is achieved through the division of space through a central circulation. It is enhanced through work on the longitudinal walls. Illuminated windows appear on these walls, blinds and paneling that play with the viewer's sensation, as if the space continued on the other side of them. The tables are placed in line with these openings, as if each of them belonged to a tavern.
