Moraira is a coastal town located in the province of Alicante, it is known for its beaches, coves and its marina. The house is located in front of the sea, separated from it by the national highway that runs through the coast, offering incredible views of the sea.
It is an area of low urban density composed mainly of isolated single-family homes built in different periods and architectural styles, combining traditionally Mediterranean homes with modern homes and minimalists.
Asun, Javier and their son Javi, friends of the studio, contact MOMP ESTUDIO to give life to the outdoor space of their home. Being fully aware of the great potential of this space due to its location and its incredible views of the sea, they seek to convert This space, at the time unused, on a summer terrace with a swimming pool, terraces and barbecues.
Being in a mountain area, the surface of the terrace is uneven, which disables the implementation of some of the intended uses. One of the advantages that becomes a challenge is the connection with the sea. The outdoor space must connect with it in a natural and fluid way. Another challenge is the correct distribution of uses so that the space is fully functional.
Two levels are defined in which platforms are built. The pool is located on the upper platform, from which you can directly see the sea and connect the two sheets of water. Is generated built-in outdoor furniture that allows you to organize the rest spaces with the enjoyment areas, taking care of The perspectives. The outdoor spaces created are distributed (swimming pool, rest areas, outdoor dining room, barbecue, outdoor shower and vegetable garden) thinking about the use of each of them and linking them by coordinating the comfort and privacy.
