Design, function and personal brand in a fishmonger
In a ground floor commercial corner, located on one of the main avenues of Alfaz del Pi, This family fishmonger is surrounded by commercial premises. Being one of the busiest streets in the municipality, the main aim of the project is to create a identifying image that is easily recognizable.
Under these premises, Frescalp, a family business, proposes this physical store, becoming in the only fishmonger in town.



The main challenge we face is the need to generate a brand, an identifying space that differentiate the fishmonger. Both the design and the work are planned in a very short period of time, which means an added challenge.
In order to give a distinguished image to the fishmonger, it is proposed to generate a large display island that occupies the center of the premises and becomes the main protagonist of the space both for its materiality and for being the center of attention where gender is located. The distribution of the fishmonger is based on direct collaboration with Fescalp, they transmitted to us their needs and their experience in the sector, so that all the elements They will be located in the precise place so that the space adapts to your work methodology.



The materialization of the project makes direct reference to the sea. The flooring used is stoneware Large-format porcelain tile, which allows for easy cleaning. The texture of this pavement imitates sand. The island, the main element that serves as a display, is materialized by blue scales. This color, becomes the new identifying color of the business image, which is repeated on the ceiling of the premises, and in the letters of the fishmonger's new brand: La Tenda del Peix.
